I love a cute fall porch.
Honestly, I even love the process. Picking out pumpkins, mixing colors and sizes, moving everything around until it looks just right... that is absolutely my kind of thing.
But right now? We are deep in the season of kids' activities, practices, games, school stuff and all the other things that somehow fill every square inch of the calendar.
So while I want the cute fall porch, finding an afternoon to shop for all the pumpkins, haul them home and actually put it together is another story.
Enter Stem to Stoop.
This new Olathe-based business brings styled fall porches to families throughout the Kansas City metro, and it is basically made for this particular season of life: when you still want to make your home feel festive, but you could really use someone else taking one thing off your plate.
Fall decorating, minus the part where you have to find the time
What I love about the idea behind Stem to Stoop is that you don't have to give up the things that make fall feel fun just because life is busy.
You still get to pull into the driveway and see pumpkins on the porch.
You still get that cozy, welcoming fall look.
You just don't have to squeeze a pumpkin-shopping expedition and porch makeover somewhere between practice, dinner and bedtime.
And this year, that sounds pretty great to me.

A little help making fall magic happen
I think that's what I like most about Stem to Stoop.
It's not that I can't decorate my own porch. And it's definitely not that I don't enjoy doing it.
It's that sometimes there are seasons when something has to give.
Right now, I'd rather spend the afternoon at my kiddo's games and still come home to a porch full of pumpkins.
And if I can support another local KC mom and her new small business at the same time? Even better.
